Much is made of low carb diets because there is an obvious link between dietary glucose and blood glucose levels.  However, it has been hypothesized for some time that intermittent fasting may be an alternative diet that could benefit non-diabetics and pre-diabetics. Recent studies show that this is now evidence for this!  It appears to lower pancreatic fat which increases insulin secretion during normal meals.

There are different ways to do intermittent fasting, but the most common would be to eat only during about 8 hours during the day and fast all night.  To do this, one would have to usually skip breakfast and no late night snacks!

The other most common method is to fast (under 600 calories) two full days per week.

We at team RedOx+ believe that while this diet could be beneficial, the intermittent fasts may also reduce vitamin/mineral intake.  Maintaining daily RedOx+ supplement will ensure that you will optimize your diet!
